Floorwork Foundations

Floorwork is an exciting discipline at the intersection of contemporary dance and acrobatics, providing a new challenge for anyone looking to expand their skill set and build strength and versatility. Come join us for an afternoon of basic, foundational floorwork technique! We will learn building blocks and exercises for moving while inverted, with a focus on backward and forward rolls. Expect to walk out feeling sore but strong! 

Level: No previous floorwork experience required; contemporary or ballet experience recommended.

Recommended attire: Long exercise pants/leggings, socks, and a shirt with sleeves (to avoid floorburn). Clothing that is not bumpy or strappy will be more comfortable while sliding.

Notes: There will be time for note-taking, so feel free to bring a notebook!
