Fall 2026 - Adv Heels Tricks & Technique
Ages 18+ | No previous experience needed
Service Description
Take your heels training to the next level with focused instruction in the technical skills behind advanced heels choreography. Designed for experienced heels dancers, this class combines targeted strength and conditioning with progressive skill development to build the power, control, and confidence needed for advanced heels technique. You'll refine turns, dynamic direction changes, floor transitions, knee drops, advanced lines, and other heels-specific skills while developing the strength, stability, and movement quality that allow them to be executed safely and consistently. Beyond technique, you'll challenge your performance quality by learning to move with greater intention, precision, and presence. Whether you're looking to sharpen your execution, expand your movement vocabulary, or prepare for more demanding choreography, this class provides the focused training to help you get there. PREREQUISITES: Dancers must have a strong foundation in heels technique and be comfortable with demanding choreography, ATTIRE: Wear what makes you feel your best. Comfy clothes are always welcome, but don't be afraid to wear the outfit you've been looking for an excuse to put on. Whether your style is sleek, sporty, bold, or somewhere in between, choose clothing that lets you move freely and feel confident. HEELS: Please wear clean heels that are dedicated to dance class and have not been worn outdoors. We recommend open-toe styles with a stiletto heel. For safety and stability, please avoid platforms and chunky heels. Visit our Recommendations page for suggested shoe styles and retailers. CLASS SCHEDULE: This 10-week session runs from Sept 27 - Dec 4. The price shown is for the entire session. OPTIONAL PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITY: This fall, dancers enrolled in select classes will have the opportunity to perform in TDF Stage Sessions on December 4. Designed as a low-pressure performance experience, Stage Sessions gives dancers the chance to perform their class choreography on a real stage for an audience of fellow TDF dancers. There are no auditions, no additional rehearsals, and no tickets to sell. Your instructor will prepare your class piece during your regular class time. Participation is completely optional, making this a great opportunity for dancers who want to experience the excitement of performing while building confidence in a supportive community.
