Service Description

Challenge your technique with the speed, precision, and control that bring advanced tap dancing to life. Designed for experienced tap dancers, this class focuses on advanced tricks, intricate combinations, and the technical skills needed to execute them with clarity and confidence. You'll refine speed, volume control, articulation, coordination, and rhythmic accuracy while exploring more complex vocabulary and performance-level combinations. Whether you're looking to sharpen your technique, increase your versatility, or push your tap skills to the next level, this class offers focused training in a supportive, challenging environment. PREREQUISITES: Dancers should be fluent in foundational tap vocabulary and advanced skills including wings, pullbacks, pull-forwards, toe stands, and the technical building blocks that support them. ATTIRE: Wear comfortable dancewear or athletic clothing that allows for a full range of motion. Leggings, joggers, shorts, fitted tops, or tees are all great options. FOOTWEAR: Split-sole or full-sole tap shoes are recommended for this class. No character shoes or buckle tap shoes. Visit our Recommendations page for suggested shoe styles and retailers. CLASS SCHEDULE: This 10-week session runs from Sept 27 - Dec 4. The price shown is for the entire session. OPTIONAL PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITY: This fall, dancers enrolled in select classes will have the opportunity to perform in TDF Stage Sessions on December 4. Designed as a low-pressure performance experience, Stage Sessions gives dancers the chance to perform their class choreography on a real stage for an audience of fellow TDF dancers. There are no auditions, no additional rehearsals, and no tickets to sell. Your instructor will prepare your class piece during your regular class time. Participation is completely optional, making this a great opportunity for dancers who want to experience the excitement of performing while building confidence in a supportive community.
