Fall 2025 - Int/Adv Open Style

Service Description

This dance style is a blend of genres that includes hip hop, animating, footwork, grooves, jazz, contemporary and pedestrian movement. Open Style choreography is often marked by strong musicality and expressive textures and dynamics. Students in this class will work on various skills such as waves, strobing, popping, dime stops, grooves, polyrhythms, textures and more, and will learn learning short phrases to implement our skills. LEVEL: This is an advanced level class. 2-3 years of experience in level hip hop or open style is recommended. Dancers without the required experience are encouraged to consider our Beginner/Advanced Beginner Open Style class. ATTIRE: A clean pair of sneakers, dedicated to in-studio use and not worn outside, is required. Shoes worn in from off the street will NOT BE PERMITTED. Athletic wear is recommended. CLASS SCHEDULE: This 12-week session begins the week of September 21 and runs through December 13, with one class per week at the time noted.
